Incresead exposure to X-Ray during coronary angiography and percutaneous coronary interventions associated with fractionnal flow reserve measurement and endocoronary imaging techniques

Radiation Protection Dosimetry, March 2021

Abstract

Growing use of fractional flow reserve (FFR) and intracoronary imaging techniques by optical coherence tomography or intravascular ultrasound has raised concerns about additional exposure during coronary angiography and percutaneous coronary interventions (PCIs). Using data from the prospective CRAC-France PCI Prospective Multicentre registry, we sought to evaluate the effect of these new techniques on the radiation dose to patients undergoing coronary procedures...

The CRAC cohort model: A computerized low cost registry of interventional cardiology with daily update and long-term follow-up

Rev Epidemiol Sante Publique. 2018 May ; 66(3):209-216

 Abstract

Objectives: To assess the reliability and low cost of a computerized interventional cardiology (IC) registry to prospectively and systematically collect high-quality data for all consecutive coronary patients referred for coronary angiogram or/and coronary angioplasty.

Non-ST elevation acute coronary syndrome: CRAC register experience.

Ann Cardiol Angeiol (Paris). 2018 Dec;67(6):422-428

Goal

To assess the characteristics of nonagenarian patients with troponin-positive ST− ACS undergoing coronary angiography.
